hello again.
we are in oregon, baker city. it is about 2am, we are pretty exhausted. had another little problem with isuzu today...ran out of gas! the gas gauge didnt work properly and we were fooled! luckily and thankfully, two mexican ranchers stopped and filled our little 1-gallon tank so we could get to the next gas station in ely, nevada! thank you guys! so here we are now, expecting to arrive in seattle tomorrow late afternoon if all goes well and it should! the good news, with all the $$ we poured into isuzu, the gas mileage has been amazingly good. that helps.
anyway, anybody come up with more ideas for the holga event? today in the car we talked and decided that we both very much liked to call it what michelle first called it: "the holga schmooze"! can we call it that? also we think the mix between projecting work and having portfolios and prints on tables for people to peruse thorugh casually [a' la photolucida/photo la/review santa fe] is the best. we need to set a deadline for receiving images from people [20 each?] so we can all jury, we'd say wednesday given that we will need all the time we can get to install the show. also we thought of marita's coffee connections and asking them if they could provide coffee+cookies for the event in exchange for mentioning them through blog+website? what do you all think??? ok ENOUGH! goodnight! r+m

hey you all! hey dave! scarlett! how nice to see you're on here too! everybody, scarlett is a fab french photographer+holga lover so i invited her to this blog, scarlett feel free to post your info so people can check out your photos...
sooo, we have been incommunicado for a while cause we had to try to catch up with the miles and the hours, but here we are, about one day behind on schedule because my mechanic, although trusty, couldn't get our isuzu ready for us in time. the good news is we are safely on the road now with brand new flamin' tires! we were in vegas last night for about an hour and a half just to check it out and had a blast taking some shots with the canon eos20d+lensbaby [see attached if i can figure it out!]. we are now about 170 miles north of las vegas in the little town of caliente where we spent the night! after a breakfast at the brandin' iron and after having edited pics we are now ready to get on the road again and eat as many miles as we can! plan to cross into idaho and then oregon to hopefully stop into pendleton [home of the fab sweaters and blankets!]. sooo, this puts us into seattle towards sunday late afternoon, if all goes well. we hope this doesn't inconvenience anybody... we'll do our best! look out for pics! besos r+m
