In the near future, since I’ll be spending more time in the San Juan Islands, I took advantage of getting to know the art’s community by participating in the Island’s fall studio/gallery tour, Art Stock.
Danielle and Matthew Palmer work in their studio and entertain guests.

Hi, I just wanted to comment on the San Juan Islands as well as your fabulous gallery. I was just on a road trip to escape the Sonoran Desert heat and visit my daughter in Seattle on my way to Orcas Island for a week of camping and nature.

I stopped into your gallery one rainy afternoon and spent quite a bit of time enjoying your exhibits. You were very busy so we did not get a chance to chat but the place had a friendly feel. I really loved the radiographs of Steven Meyers as well as the changing rain forest photographs of Daniel Beltrá. Your gallery is fabulous and I really look forward to my next visit to your area so I can drop in again.

I had a fabulous trip to Orcas and met many lovely people. The San Juans are such a special place! I wish I could be there for ArtStock. Maybe next year.

    Hi John,
Thank you for the kind words and checking out the gallery blog.

I’ll be moving to the San Juan’s in Jan, 2010 and the gallery will be going virtual. Keep checking the web site which will change over to Benham Fine Art in November but the Benham Gallery will still be alive and connected to the new site.

I plan to be busy in the arts communities and working to promote happenings in and around the Puget Sound. Next time you’re in the San Juan’s shoot me an email and I’ll happily play art guide for you!

Take care and thank you again,
    Marita Holdaway
