Well, I wasn't the first person to walk through the door when you opened -- but it must have been close. I was lucky enough to show my work to you and have it in the gallery once. You took my daughter's wedding portrait -- I bought prints from you that I enjoy every day. I even brought your coffee over from next door a time or two. I already miss walking in the door and hearing your disembodied voice float over the wall from upstairs. Best wishes and don't feed your dogs chocolate -- it's not good for them.

Thank you Marita for representing and supporting local photographers in such a beautiful way for 22 years. I will really miss your presence in Seattle. I was lucky enough to have you review my portfolio years ago and to be part of a group show. I really benefited from your advice and encouragement. Good luck and enjoy the island life!

Congratulations on this new chapter in your business and life. We will know where to go for future purchases. But the closure of the Benham Gallery leaves an aching void in Seattle--its unique spotlight on the very best in photography; the wonderful variety, with always something new and to love; the funky feel, like a beautiful, endless attic; and of course the welcoming, friendly feeling whenever we came in to browse.
